This is a totally new way to budget for me! It really clarifies a lot of things. Question: How do you use this the spreadsheet tool for expenses that you’ve also created sinking funds savings for. For example, I’m putting away $150 per month for all the upcoming weddings I plan to attend over the next few years. I also know I’ll spend about $1000 on a wedding this summer. So do I put the $1000 into July and also have the $150 per month in a savings row?
Also, I enjoy your Youtube very much. I found Tasha via Financial Diet. It is nice to watch smart, practical women(and their husbands) sharing the wealth (information) to educate others. I work for a public library in IT/marketing and I am very passionate about the transmission of information that helps empower others.
I noticed that there are more tabs on the spreadsheet that are labeled monthly. I was just wondering if you have any videos or articles on how to fill those out?
The one year budget helped me immensely in sorting out financial priorities. It also helped me with planning my future and money moves since at the moment I am a substitute paraprofessional and wanting a more permanent opportunity. It also gives me an opportunity to save and figure out how much money I want to spend if I do want to travel internationally or drive three hours to the nearest national park.
Thank you for this. I’m now got out past my slump and doom and gloom and are able to see the big picture with planning annually.

Hello,
Following you from France. Thanks for sharing all those valuable info. I am a newly wed and I am glad I am learning all of this now!
How do you recommend setting aside the funds for car maintenance, vacation, gifts…? Should several saving accounts be opened ?
Many thanks!
hi there,
I noticed that there are more tabs on the spreadsheet that are labeled monthly. I was just wondering if you have any videos or articles on how to fill those out?

Hi Tasha,
Is your one-year budget spreadsheet still available?
